It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Marie James of Vernal, Utah, born in Phoenix, Arizona, who passed away on June 20, 2022, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Vickie Marie Sowsonicut; her sister Autumn Tapoof; her granddaughter Lala Antonio; and her nephew Tyrell Sowsonicut. She is survived by: her father Carlos James, Jr. (Nancy); her children, Carlos James (Jessica Johnson), Vernal, Steve James, Jeffrey James (Margaret Arrive), Sasha Antonio and Carly Uncapiuke (Brandon Ficarra); and her siblings, Carmen James, Carla James, Carlena James, Carlos James, III, Christopher James, TJ Sowsonicut (Nina), Christine Sowsonicut, Anthony Appawoo, Teri Alba, Sherry Nanty and Manuel Nanty. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
