It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ken Karlson (Washington, Utah), who passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fern Jessop and Richard Jessop; his wife Fern Liddell Karlson; and his siblings, Fern Lorraine Shapley, Ted Jessop and Tim Jessop.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Fancy (Donavan), Juleen Karlson, Kendra Olson (Jason), Kandice Moss (Jared), Heidi Miller (Eric) and Kortney Tau'a (Taylor); and his siblings, William Shapley, Judith Shapley, Sadie Beagley, Vivian Jessop, Rone Jessop and Matt Jessop. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Serenity Funeral Home of Southern Utah (1316 S 400 E, St. George, UT 84790). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Serentiy Funeral Home of Southern Utah (1316 S 400 E, St. George, UT 84790). A burial was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Washington City Cemetery (300 Park View Dr, Washington, UT 84780).
