It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Rasmussen (Wellsville, Utah), born in Salt Lake City, Utah, who passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint John leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was predeceased by: his pet Junior; his mother Marlae; and his sibling's children, Amberlee Hatton-Ward and Louie Hatton-Ward. He is survived by: his father Ladd Rasmussen; his sister Shauna Rasmussen; and his half-sister Holly.

“Ty was one of my most choice childhood friends. He lived just three houses up the street from where I grew up on 13th East. We spent many summers hanging out in Mr. Summerhay's apple tree and sawmill, hunting grasshoppers and sharing childhood dreams of what we hoped to become one day. He was a hero to me as he stood up to my big brother Dave even though my brother was older & picking on me at the time. Ty told him to stop picking on me or else. I will never forget him.
