The passing of Carol Mary Bass (West Jordan, Utah) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 24, 2025 at the age of 96. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Henry Austin and Dolly Mary Sadler; her husband Rex W. Bass; her daughter Rosemary Garrett (Jack); and her daughter-in-law Colleen Bass.
She is survived by: her children, Marsha Hansen (Mike), Scott Bass, Kevin Bass (Robyn), Carrie Burbidge (Ken) and Paul Bass (Teresa); and her sisters, Pat Marshall, Jackie Struhes and Martha Andresen. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; as well as many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery (6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT 84084). A prayer was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
Whether organizing Christmas donation drives at the VA Hospital or lovingly placing poppies on the graves of Veterans each Veterans Day, Carol was a tireless supporter of those who served our country.
