We announce the death of David L. Smeltzer (West Jordan, Utah), born in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 22, 2026, at the age of 73. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. David will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew David will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. David’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Elizabeth Smeltzer and Theodore Smeltzer; his son Aaron; and his wife Victoria.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1380 W 6785 S, West Jordan, UT 84084). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations to Shriners Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT are appreciated.
