Scott O'Dell wrote a sympathy message

“I never heard Jeff dwell on the hand dealt. He told me that he was neither an optimist or pessimist; that he was a realist who didn't need to waste time pouting about things. We met while biking. Biking was his passion while family his love, and faith his rock. I always enjoyed our time together; he was someone that you knew would be kind, caring, and have something new and interesting to talk about. Unknowingly perhaps, Jeff taught me a lot about life; I'm grateful for his friendship.”
