He was predeceased by: his parents, Karel Govert Van Leeuwen and Catherina Koelmans; his sister Catharina Nieuwland (Suzanna Dicou); and his granddaughter Kristine Price Leighton. He is survived by: his wife Janna; his children, Linda Quilter (Lynn), Marcia Price (Doug) and Robert Van Leeuwen (Lori); and his siblings, Anthony Van Leeuwen, Harro Van Leeuwen (Linda) and Marion Walden. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
