It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Wilford Allen Sturgeon (West Jordan, Utah), who passed away at the age of 63, on December 1, 2018. He was predeceased by: his sister Steva Ferris. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Gunnell; and his siblings, Ida White, Jean Beckham, Shelley Eder and Ken Bockholt.

He loved to make people laugh, telling corny jokes, and any cancer treatment nurse asking him "how do you feel?' was promptly told "with my hands". Jess's children include Hope Waldvogel, Harley Sturgeon and Max Sturgeon. He was Stepfather to Ashley Gunnell and Robert Carney. He was an amazing, wonderful Grandpa to Rhiannon, Angelica, Nicholous and Zoso. He has many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Thank you to all who have reached out to express their love and admiration for Uncle Jess. Honoring Jess's wishes, there will not be a funeral, or memorial service. In the spring, there will be a 'celebration of his life' where all will be welcome to share their memories of knowing and loving Jess.
