He was predeceased by: his parents, Blair Davis and Oleta Davis; his sister Peggy Jo Davis; and the mother of his children Tammy Rae Messenger. He is survived by: his siblings, Bart Davis (Kathy), Brent Davis (Marsha) and Roxie Jensen (Darwin); his children, Brandon Messenger, Beau Davis and Katelin Davis (Patrick); and his grandchildren, Kadenz Dubbelman and Kaspian Carroll. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
