He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard A. Gatherum and Beverly Landes Gatherum. He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Debbie VanRij (Kregg) of South Jordan, David Gatherum (Tina) of Hyde Park, Denise Proctor (Jason) of West Jordan and Dena Case (Robert) of West Valley; and his brothers, Gary Gatherum (Karen) and Brent Gatherum of Sandy. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family expresses deep appreciation to the nurses and aides from Symbii, especially Michelle, Angie, and Carlos, for their tender and devoted care during Bill's struggle with complications of Alzheimer's.
