Alan E. Fairbanks Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alan E. Fairbanks of Abingdon, Virginia, born in Syracuse, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 19, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Marion Lyon; his stepfather Dr. Ray Lyon; his father Marvin Fairbanks; his stepmother Helen Fairbanks; and his brother Dr. David Fairbanks.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Forrest Fairbanks; his children, Danielle Fairbanks of Abingdon and Ken Fairbanks (Beth) of Abingdon; and his grandsons, Spencer Fairbanks, Dakota Boggs, Jonathan Fairbanks, Ian Boggs and Noah Boggs.
