It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Lucille Montgomery Snead (Abingdon, Virginia), born in McDowell, Virginia, who passed away on June 20, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Montgomery and Martha Davis Montgomery; her husband Ernest Epperson Snead; and her siblings, Ralph Montgomery, Bobby Montgomery, Billy Montgomery and Revonda Hollandsworth.

She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley Snead of Abingdon and Judy Vermillion (Sherman) of Abingdon; her close friends, Alice Hodge and Susie McConnell; and her cousin Mary Ann Gillespie. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
