With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Butt Cornett of Abingdon, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 20, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Ellen Witt and Charles Henry Butt, Jr.; her grandparents, Josephine and Charles Henry Butt, Sr.; and her aunts, Edna and Lillian Butt.
She is survived by: her husband James Lee Cornett; her sons, Kevin and Ken; her daughter-in-law Carrie; and her granddaughter Emma.
