She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah "Ted" Parlier and Hazel Parlier (Cook); her husband Bobby Gentry; and her siblings, Vivian Goodman and Eugene Parlier.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Gentry Wright (Al) and Lisa Gentry Greenway (Bryan) of Bristol, VA; her grandson Nelson Greenway; and her siblings-in-law, Jane Gentry Pierce (Zane) of Abingdon, VA and Lawrence Goodman (Lisa) of Fleetwood. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 4th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Boone Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services (2005 Mt Jefferson Rd, West Jefferson, NC 28694). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 4th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the Bethany Church Cemetery (495 NC-194, West Jefferson, NC 28694).
