She is survived by: her sons, Edward Burks (Tenna) of Morganton, NC and Joseph Burks (Sandrine) of Abingdon, VA; her mother Irene Hale Steele of Morganton, NC; her brother J. B. Steele (Jackie) of Morganton, NC; her grandson Colby Burks (Cheyenne); and her great grandchild Blake Burks.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ballad Hospice in Mrs. Burks' name.
