He was predeceased by: his mother Alice Viola Hanneld; and his sister Page Thomas. He is survived by: his father Theophilus Boykin Smith; his wife Sandra Smith (Fortney); his daughters, Liane Smith and Lesley Donnell (Jeff Donnell); and his grandsons, McLaren Cantrell, Baxter Cantrell and Judson Baird Donnell.
