He is survived by: his wife Katherine Byerley Parks; his sons, Luke Parks of Abingdon and Sergeant Cade; his wife Megan Parks of Indian Head; his daughters, Kali Parks of Jonesborough and Hannah Grace Parks; his mother Irene Vannoy Parks of Abingdon; his siblings, Betty Smith of Damascus, Janet Farmer (Jim) of Damascus, Sandy Parks (Richard Monk) of Emory, Connie Carty (Daryl) of Meadowview, Missy Wright (Mike) of Abingdon, Delmar Parks of Abingdon, Jimmy Parks (Linda) of Kingsport, Buddy Parks of Abingdon, Kent Parks (Tina) of Abingdon and Chad Parks (Mary) of Glade Spring; his granddaughter Eleanor Parks; Richard David Parks. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
