We are sad to announce that, on January 18, 2023, at the age of 95, Carl V. Smith (Abingdon, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Jessie Taylor Smith; his siblings, Ruby Goad (Lloyd), Glenn Smith (Mary) and Francis Joyce (Lawrence); and his sister-in-law Maxie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Zettie Marie Smith; his sons, Mickey Smith (Jo Zimmerman), Rick Smith and Mark Smith; his grandchildren, Alicia Kestner (Jeff) and Ashley Stiltner (Danielle); his great grandchildren, Caleb Boyd, Landon Boyd, Jaden Stiltner and Kaylee Stiltner; his siblings, Marvin Smith and Linda Nelson (Dewey); and his caregivers, Ashley Stiltner, Tammy Wagner, Dwayne Duffield, Aretta Myers, Mary Kirk and Eva Jackson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 190 Salem Drive, Bristol, VA 24201.
