She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert and Mable Lucille Sykes; her husband James Wood; and her daughter Theresa Dawn Wood. She is survived by: her children, James Stephen Wood (Hilary), LaVonda Wood and Todd Wood; her grandchildren, Joshua Carter, Jacob Carter, Kyle Wood and Kate Wood; and her sister Reba Wickham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Frost Funeral Home Chapel (250 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
