Carolyn Joyce Haught Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Joyce Haught (Abingdon, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 8, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper V. Holdaway and Mary Lou Holdaway (Eanes); and her siblings, Pat Jarrett, Janie Holmes, Danie Holdaway and Joseph Holdaway.

She is survived by: her husband Jacob R; her children, John English (Tonya) of Yuba City, CA, Jacob Haught (Patti) of Mendota, VA and Kelly Haught of Columbia, SC; her grandchildren, Gwen Nyairo, Carolyne Franzen, Paul English, Haley Bell, Olivia Adkins, Ava Hickerson, Harper Davis, John Haught and James Haught; and her pet George. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.

Carol loved flowers but she had been a heart patient for 30 years surviving bypass surgery, multiple stints and all the complications that can occur with those treatments, so in lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association in her name will be greatly appreciated.
