He was predeceased by: his parents, Issac McClanahan and Polly Jane Coleman McClanahan; his wife Betty B. McClanahan; his sisters, Omie Hutchinson, Georgia Fraley, Pauline Coleman and Lilly St. Clair; his children-in-law, Bill Brown and Theresa McClanahan; and his brothers-in-law, Ray Blankenship and J. C. Blankenship.
He is survived by: his children, Frank McClanahan (Michelle), Cecil "Bo" McClanahan Jr. (Lynn), Pauline Belcher (Terry), Betty Keen (Dwayne) and Tammy Brown; his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Bower (Tommy), Anita Stanley (Larry) and Jacqueline Blankenship; his pet Samantha; and his caregivers, Bonnie Finney, Chloe, Jill, Pearl, Amanda, Macella, Molly, Karlie and Nancy Barrett. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
