She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Harrison Cook and Ellen Norris Cook; her husband Pete Ward; and her brothers, Joseph Cook and Robert Cook.
She is survived by: her son Jeffery Edward Musser (Elizabeth); her grandchildren, Jason Musser and Lydia Musser; and her sisters, Susan Sutfin and Betty Lyons. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Charlotte's memory.
