He was predeceased by: his wife Phillis Sue Baumgardner (Lester); his parents, Everett Baumgardner and Eulala Baumgardner; his brothers, Roy and Everett Baumgardner; and his nephew Rick Baumgardner.
He is survived by: his siblings, Don (Sue) of Abingdon, Virginia., David (Lisa) of Abingdon, Virginia., Mark Baumgardner (Wanda) of Abingdon, Virginia., Violet Hicks (Baxter) of Meadowview, Virginia, Karen Kestner (Darrell) of Abingdon, Virginia and Velvet Salyers (Phillip) of Abingdon, Virginia; and his sister-in-law Ruby Baumgardner.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Frost Funeral Home (250 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:45 AM.
