He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Ketron and Lola Mae Shaffer Ketron. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Ketron; his children, Deborah Smith (Rick), Carol Broyles (Jim) and Walter L. Howell, Jr.; his grandchildren, Christy Taylor (Greg), Michael Pruitt and Devon Broyles; his great grandchildren, Blake, Matthew, Dalton and Rylee; and his sisters, Judy Smith (Salem) and Bernice Millard (Bill). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
