She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert W. Shamblin and Virginia Ruth McGlothlin Shamblin; her husband Donald Freeman Lowe; and her brother Ronald Shamblin. She is survived by: her brother Robert H. Shamblin (Ellen); and her children, Donna Gail Gooding, Michael Freeman Lowe, Sarah Kaye Ballenberger, Karen Ruth Bernard and Tammy Rose Cochran. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pleasant View Church (18416 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA 24210).
