She was predeceased by: her parents, Cliff Connerley and Belma Frances Connerley; her husband Robert George Hopkins (Bob); and her close friend Robert Neeb. She is survived by: her sister Sandy; her brother-in-law Lee Massicotte; her brother Tom; her sister-in-law Beth Connerley; her daughter Julie; her son-in-law Robert Laidlaw; and her grandchildren, Ian, Matthew and Paige Laidlaw. She is also survived by three nieces, and one nephew.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church (136 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). A reception will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Parkinson's Research Foundation.
