He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Russ and Susie Russ; his wife Kathleen Russ; and his son Glenn R. Russ. He is survived by: his children, Robert A. Russ (Betty) and Rhona L. Bassett (Mark); and his grandchildren, Jacob R. Smith and Megan Adams.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Frost Funeral Home (250 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Rust Hollow Cemetery.
