With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Wood of Abingdon, Virginia, who passed away on May 4, 2021 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his mother Mamie Belle Roberts Wood; his brothers, David Wood and James Wood; his wife Helen Wood; his son Kevin Wood (April); his grandchildren, Olivia and Walker; his siblings, Patsy Pless (Jim) and Mike Wood; and his sisters-in-law, Dixie Wood and Issie Wood. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

A committal service will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Alvarado, VA.Flowers will be accepted as well as donations made to Highlands Food Pantry, 22417 Watauga Rd, Abingdon, VA 24211, and CIDP, 375 East Elm Street, Suit 101, Conshohocken, PA 19428.In accordance with COVID-19 restrictions, all those attending services are asked to wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines.
