She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Robert Tolar, Sr. (Bob); her parents, Gladys (Blalock) and Kelley of Kinston, NC; and her sisters, Peggy Kelley Sutton of Kinston, NC and Deborah Kelley Chase (Virgil) of Kinston, NC..

She is survived by: her children, Rev. Robert R. Tolar, Jr. (Paige L. Tolar) of Grove City, Donna Tolar Jarvis of Abingdon, VA and Paul K. Tolar (Elizabeth) of Staunton, VA.; her grandchildren, Mackenzie Jarvis Love (Nathan), Rev. Erin Tolar, Elizabeth Tolar Cash (Trent), Tobey Robert Tolar, Vale Tolar and Gavin Tolar; her great grandchild Freya Love (Mackenzie); and her close friends, Fred, Gypsy, Zac Holt of Abingdon, VA and Sarah Evers of Lynchburg, VA..

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church (136 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Home of Fred & Gypsy Holt.
