He was predeceased by: his parents, Clay Kent Smith and Dorothy Lee Wright Smith. He is survived by: his wife Nora Lee Baumgardner Smith; his children, Jonathan, Jessica Smith Rasnake (Jason) and Douglas Jr. (Krystal); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Esther, Michael, Emma, Elijah, Kenley and Edith; his brother Gordon (Joy); his nieces, Nora Cook and Lorie Baumgardner; his aunt Louise Smith; and his friends, Matt, Melody Helton, Sam and Mickie Price. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
