We bid farewell to Douglas R. Sparks of Abingdon, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 5, 2025 at the age of 81. Douglas R. touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Barlow Sparks and Joseph Wattie Sparks; his siblings, Elmer Sparks (Opal), Donnie Sparks (Sandy), Carl Sparks (Joyce), Bob Sparks (Sharyn), Delton "Stanley" Sparks (Peggy), Evelyn Repass (Bill), Jean Dillo (Eugene) and Edna "Sue" Repass (Archie); and his wife Pamela Neal Sparks.
He is survived by: his daughters, Meredith Wampler (Brian), Kira Lammers (Sean) and Kristen Sparks (Ben Carroll); his grandchildren, Alyssa Carroll, Collin Anderson, Selah Carroll, Crosby Lammers, Taylor Wampler, Wesley Lammers and Ruby Lammers; and his siblings, Joe Sparks (Mary), Rickey Sparks (Maxine), Fred Sparks (Frances), Dean Sparks (Anita) and Janie Sparks Stanger. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A reception will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Frost Funeral Home (250 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210).
