It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elbert Ray Poston (Abingdon, Virginia), who passed away on April 2, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Poston and Annie Johnson Poston; his wife JoAnn "Sissy" Poston; his grandson Alex McCracken; and his daughter-in-law Evalyn Poston.
He is survived by: his children, Pete Poston of Deland, FL, Debbie Stallard (Pat) of Abingdon, VA and Sherry (Ronnie Woodward); his grandchildren, A. J. Woodward, Matthew Stallard, Tyler Stallard and Christopher McCracken; and his great grandchildren, Arrow Stallard, Anna Stallard, Waylen McCracken and Jolene McCracken.
