She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Springer, Kathy Gonzales and Kenny Thorpe (Marsha); her brother Bobby Benson; her children-in-law, Tim Matthews and Alva Giblin (James); her grandchildren, Dawn (Alan Morris), Shanna (Ryan Williams), Chris Gonzales and Angela Gonzales; her great grandchildren, Brinley Morris, Ryker Williams and Avery Williams; and her close friend Winkie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Farris Funeral Service – Main Street Chapel (427 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
