We announce the death of Fred Ramsey in Abingdon, Virginia, who passed away on August 13, 2026, at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, W. V. Pete Ramsey and Myrtle Eileen Milam Ramsey; his wife Judy Ramsey; his brother Roger Ramsey; his son-in-law Ronnie Henson; his grandchildren, Nick and Molly Blackwell; and his great grandchild Harper Willow Blackwell.
He is survived by: his children, Marsu Horton, Chelley Henson and Rick Ramsey; his sister Marty Dabney (Larry); his sister-in-law Helen Ramsey; his grandchildren, Tiffany Stout, Lucas Henson (Haylie) and Trevor Henson (Faith); and his great grandchildren, Amelia Stout, Colton, Hadlie and Winnie Henson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
