George M. Phipps Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George M. Phipps of Abingdon, Virginia, born in Clintwood, Virginia, who passed away on May 22, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Maureen Phipps (Vaillancourt). He is survived by: his children, George M. Phipps Jr. (Elaine), Dawn Hassin (Rick) and Heidi Phipps-Oliveira (Paul); his siblings, Faye McAlexander, Gaye McGuiness of Washington, Anna Lois Rose of Ohio and Kerry Phipps (Pun Yon) of Clintwood, VA; Todd Phipps. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.
