He was predeceased by: his father Graham William Herndon, Sr.; and his siblings, Wayne Herndon and Jean Ratliff. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Herndon; his sons, Jon Marc Herndon (Jennifer) of Abingdon, William Dwayne Herndon (Christy) of Abingdon and Richard Lee Herndon (Teresa) of Bristol, VA; his siblings-in-law, Wanda Reid (Tom) and Danny Stallard (Priscilla); and his nieces, Mary Lynne Branson (Frank), Jeanne Stone (Cotton), Rita Hammond (Allen) and Jennifer Barnes (Jason). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
