Guy Thomas McConnell Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Guy Thomas McConnell (Abingdon, Virginia), who passed away on November 16, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy McConnell and Mary Thomas McConnell; and his siblings, Fred A. McConnell (Amelia), Marvin McConnell (Betty) and Margaret McConnell.

He is survived by: his wife Edna Sutherland McConnell; his children, Amy Lowe (Doug) of Leesburg, VA, Ellen McConnell of Roanoke, VA and Benjamin McConnell (Karen) of Roanoke; his grandchildren, Rebekah Stratton (Steve) of Boone, NC, Elizabeth Smith (Christopher) of Winchester, VA, Molly McConnell of Roanoke and Peter McConnell of Roanoke; and his great grandchildren, Isaac, Eli Stratton, Hailey and Caleb Smith. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
