In loving memory of Harriet Sue Chaney Harrison of Abingdon, Virginia, who departed this world on May 13, 2024 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ance Chaney and Jane Chaney; her husband William Harrison; and her brothers, J. D. Chaney and Paul Chaney.
She is survived by : her son David C. Matney (Anita); her stepchildren, Jim Harrison (Janette), Bill Harrison and Beth Burgess (Lee); and her siblings, Irma Lester and Leslie Chaney (Gertrude). She is also survived by four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Farris Cremation & Funeral Center – Forest Hills Chapel (19415 Lee Hwy, Abingdon, VA 24210). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Ballad Hospice.
