He was predeceased by: his parents, Maie Pearl Odem (Jones) and Harry Clay Odem, Sr.; the mother of his children Anne Campbell Odem; and his brother David Odem. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Odem (Waters); his son Clay (Gina); his grandchildren, Jonathon (Emily), Jason (Vanessa), Taylor Odem and Hannah Odem; his great grandchild Annie Odem; and his stepsons, Sam, Tom and Steve Legard. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A memorial gathering was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Frost Funeral Home (250 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
