Irene Rakes Counts Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Rakes Counts (Abingdon, Virginia), who passed away on August 21, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertie Rakes and Ruth Rakes of Clintwood, VA.; her husband Vance Counts of Abingdon, VA.; and her son Ralph Farmer of Westland, MI.. She is survived by: her children, Jerry Farmer (Margie) of Lizella and Lola Light of Roanoke, VA.; and her sisters, Mildred Mullins of Monrovia, MD., Gaynell McCoy of Clintwood, VA., Anita Adkins of Gate City, VA. and Loraine Triplett of Bristol, VA.. She is also survived by three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
