He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Combs and Jacqueline Hobson Combs. He is survived by: his wife Sara Combs; his uncle John C. Hobson, Sr. (Deborah) of Lebanon; and his aunts, Ramona Ashmore (Fred) of Decatur, Ala. and Connie Sue Dotson of Abingdon. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
