James Jarvis Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Jarvis (Abingdon, Virginia), born in Ovapa, West Virginia, who passed away on March 10, 2023 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Jarvis to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Spencer Jarvis of West Virginia and Dona Jarvis of West Virginia; his daughter Shirley Ann Jarvis Bernard of Bristol, TN; and his siblings, Charles Jarvis, Paul Jarvis, Marvin Jarvis and Francis Saffir.

He is survived by: his wife Mabel Barker Jarvis; his children, Sharon Ranae Fleenor of Bristol, TN and John Barker (Christie) of Bristol, TN; his siblings, Kenneth Jarvis (Shirley), Jack Jarvis (WV), Danny Jarvis (Barb), Dorothy Rice (Rex), Mary Parsons (FL) and Arletta Conley (Shirley); his grandchildren, David Felty, Rebecca Fleenor, Sam Fleenor, Jenny Thomas, Carson Barker, Callie Barker and Jacob Magnus; and his great grandchildren, Madisyn Felty, Makenze Felty, Mariska Felty, Myleigh Felty, Landen Felty, Anna Thomas and Nathan Thomas.

Jim also donated radio equipment to amateur in Russia, Poland Misereres and disabled veterans.
