She was predeceased by: her parents, Jean Walker Kreger and R. Bradley Kreger; and her sister Claire Kreger Rodrigues. She is survived by: her husband James E. "Buddy" Mitchell; her children, Kathryn Kreger Mitchell of Abingdon, VA, Molly Ammons Mitchell, Anne Walker Mitchell and Jimmy Mitchell (Aarin); her granddaughters, Emma Jean Mitchell of Birmingham, AL and Elisabeth Bonnie Mitchell of Birmingham, AL; and her sisters, Betty Kreger Atkins of Abingdon, VA and Anne Krispin Kreger (Phillip Bose) of Olga, Wash.. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
