It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Elizabeth Mullin of Abingdon, Virginia, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 19, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mullin and Pauline Steele; her stepfathers, James Cherry and Max Steele; her brother Jack Mullin; and her brother-in-law Roger Vaught.
She is survived by: her daughters, Heather Hatfield (Michael) of Glade Spring, VA and Dani Darasz (Zach) of Boston, MA; her grandchildren, Amira Lowe, Eva Darasz, Isla Hatfield and Declan Darasz; her siblings, Jim Mullin, Kevin Mullin (Diane), Bill Mullin, Marianne Vaught, Brian Mullin (Viki), Paul Mullin (Celine) and Sean Cherry; her nieces and nephews, Jason O'Keefe (Marielle), Jimmy Mullin (Amy), Laina Pruett (Jared), Angela Shamblin (Greg), Elicia Basoli (Dan), Malissa Mullin, Jackie Rogers (Michael), Stephanie Harding (Chris), Cristina Mullin, Taylor Mullin, Nicole Mullin, Andrea Mullin and Gabriel Mullin; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Elsie, James, John, Matthew, Aurora, Sophia, Felicity, Collin, Mona, Max, Mya, Kacey, Brendon, Alaina, Benjamin, Jocelyn and Owen.
