He was predeceased by: his son Jeffery D. Boyd; his parents, Homer Boyd and Lacy Boyd; and his siblings, Homer Jr., Frederick Grant, Ernest, Jack, Harold Boyd, Mamie Buck, Lillian Artrip, Alta Mae Price, Shirley Stallard and Linda Leonard.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Ann Boyd; his daughters, Brenda Yunis (Hazim) and Bonny Thornhill (Tony); his grandchildren, Candice, Brooke Yunis and Travis Thornhill (Leah); and his great grandchild Greyson Thornhill.
