It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Vincent Morgan Jr. of Abingdon, Virginia, who passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rhoda Edith Blevins Morgan and John Vincent Morgan, Sr.; and his wife Wanda Sue Morgan. He is survived by: his sister Sarah Anne Morgan Thompson; his brother-in-law Arthur J. Thompson; his nieces, Susan Morgan Thompson King (William) and Michelle Thompson Burris (Thomas); his great-nieces, Cary Saylor Burris and Caleigh Anne Burris; his stepson Sanders Chad Barrett; his stepgranddaughters, Katelyn Jade Barrett and Kristin Desiree Barrett-Jones; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Chaden Michael Jones, Shayla Nefaye Jones, Kyra Desiree Jones, Alyssa Jade Jones, Alahna Grace Jones and Christopher Landon Jones; and his close friends, Chris "Hoppy" Clear and Tom Buchanan.
