She was predeceased by: her parents, Jackson Smith and Irene Kennedy; her husband Elmer Caldwell; and her siblings, Joann Childs, Ruby Gouge, Rosemary Funk and Delbert Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Mark Caldwell (Edwina), Scott Caldwell (Valeria) and Rebecca Wise (Darryl); her grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Heather, Morgan, Megan, Mandy and Jacob; and her sisters, Susie Salyers (Rex), Carolyn Armstrong (James), Jettie Caldwell (Ronnie) and Faye Mullins. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
