She was predeceased by: her daughter Kari; her mother Ever; her former husband Jackson of Lodi; her child Sandy Arrington; Elmer Lee Gardner and Maxie Scyphers Gardner of Abingdon.
She is survived by: her sister Diane Diedrich Myers (Pat Myers) of Hickory, NC; her husband Dr. James Lee Gardner of Abingdon, Virginia.; her children, Karen Gardner Hull (Bill) of Spring Branch, TX and Dr. James Douglas Gardner (Amy) of Winston-Salem, NC; her grandchildren, John Fore III, Jackson Fore, Jake, Jordan, James Gardner, Malcolm, Conleigh Byers, Drew and Kelsey Arrington; and her great grandchildren, Luke Harrell, Addison Harrell, John Fore IV, Sadie Fore, Chloe Fore and Jason Gardner.
