She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessee Ernest Hamilton and Helen Alice Hamilton (Reedy); her siblings, Carl Hamilton and Janet McKinney; and her brother-in-law William "Bill" Hoke.

She is survived by: her children, Margaret Wright (Brian Wright) of Berwyn, IL and Jonathan Brown (Glynn Brown) of Chicago, IL; her siblings, Evelyn Hamilton Hoke, Deborah Hamilton Saltz (Richard Saltz), Larry Hamilton (Libby Hamilton) of Abingdon, Mark Hamilton of Abingdon and Chad Hamilton of Abingdon; her grandson Casper Hamilton Brown; and her close friend Greg Smith.
