She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland F. Cunningham and Josie Price Cunningham; her husband James Thayer, Jr.; and her brother Gene Cunningham, Sr. (Thayer). She is survived by: her children, Cathy Richardson of Abingdon, VA and Michael E. Thayer (Maureen) of Harrisburg, NC; her grandchildren, Brandon Robinson (Crystal), Katie Thayer and Matthew Thayer; and her great grandchildren, Alexa Robinson and Bryson Robinson.
